After closing down the system, the mains lead is disconnected and the processor covers are removed.

All internal components are vacuumed, especially around the disk drive units and cooling fan grills.

The main processor board and power unit is vacuumed both internally and externally.

Full anti-static precautions are taken at all times to protect the PCB and chips.
