| The Electrical Safety Testing Service
is designed to assist you in complying with the latest regulations
regarding the safety of electronic and electrical equipment.
The Electricity at Work Regulations (1998)
is a statutory instrument arising from the Health and Safety
at Work Act (1974) which came into force on the 1st April
1990.
The regulations impose duties on employers
to ensure the safety of all electronic and electrical equipment
in use on their premises
We can assist you in meeting these
regulations.
Features of the service
All pluggable electrical equipment and its
wiring is included in the service. It is fully inspected,
tested using specifically designed equipment and recorded.
A unique asset label is attached to all tested equipment.
Leads, plugs, sockets and fuses are checked
and minor remedial work is carred out. Faulty items
are taken out of use. All equipment is re-assembled and re-connected
after testing.
